We offer optional client-side encryption for sensitive vehicle data. Here's how it works:
- Opt-in protection: Choose to encrypt VIN and license plate fields with your own passphrase
- Client-side encryption: Encrypted on your device before upload using AES-256-GCM
- Your keys only: Your passphrase never leaves your device
- PBKDF2 key derivation: 100,000 iterations for strong key generation
- No recovery: If you forget your passphrase, encrypted data cannot be recovered
Note: Maintenance logs, reminders, costs, and receipt attachments are not covered by this optional client-side encryption. They are stored in account-scoped cloud services to support sync and reminders.
While we use banking-grade encryption (AES-256-GCM), Amana Miles has not undergone a formal security audit.

- Authentication: Signing in and account verification still require an online connection
We designed Amana Miles to stay convenient on mobile while keeping cloud features like reminders, sync, and team access available when you are back online.
Support is available by email and through the ticket form. Response times vary:
- Free users: Community support and knowledge base
- All plans: Submit a support ticket or email the listed support address
- Phone support or guaranteed response times: Not currently offered
Plus, we have extensive documentation, video tutorials, and an active community forum.
Available export flows cover selected vehicle and maintenance records in supported formats:
- PDF reports for insurance or resale purposes
- CSV files for spreadsheet analysis
- Receipt attachments are not included in every export
Export availability depends on the account plan and currently available export flows.
We prioritize your data privacy and security:
- Your data is never sold: We will never sell, rent, or share your information with advertisers or data brokers
- Optional client-side encryption: Available for VIN and license plate fields, not all records or receipt attachments
- Backups and availability: Cadence, retention and historical uptime are not published
- Compliance: No product-level GDPR/CCPA certification or formal third-party security audit is claimed
- Row-level security: Database policies ensure your data is isolated from other users
- No third-party tracking: We don't use invasive analytics or share data with advertisers
Transparency: Cloud records support email notifications and multi-device sync. Authorized operational access may occur under support workflows; the optional field encryption does not cover these records.
While we use banking-grade encryption standards, Amana Miles has not undergone a formal third-party security audit.
We use multiple layers of security to protect your data:
- Encrypted in transit: All connections use HTTPS/TLS encryption
- Optional field encryption: VIN and license plate fields can be encrypted on your device
- Row-level security: Database policies scope access by owner and supported membership relationships
- Operational access: Service operators may process cloud records to provide the product
Support Access: Authorized access follows support and administrative workflows; optional field encryption does not make all maintenance records or receipt files unreadable to service operators.
The billing service supports authenticated refund requests for eligible charges within 30 days of the charge date.
Eligibility is checked against the Stripe customer and charge status. This is not an unconditional refund guarantee and no fixed processing time is promised.

Receipt OCR is subject to plan limits and service configuration:
- Processing: Receipt images are submitted to the authenticated OCR service for extraction
- Optional provider: When configured, OCR may send image data to OCR.Space
- Storage: Receipt files are stored separately from optional VIN/plate encryption
- VIN scanning: Uses local @zxing/library for barcode reading
- Review: Check extracted values before relying on them
OCR availability, processing path and errors depend on plan limits and configured services.
Some service integrations support core product workflows. A public developer API and OAuth integration are not currently offered.
- Exports: CSV/PDF exports for reporting and bookkeeping workflows
- Notifications: Email reminders and in-app alerts
- Enterprise: Organization integrations are in prelaunch validation
